If anything fishy was happening at the factory, she would sniff it out. Sniffing was the thing she did best. And today, Mrs. Pink had sniffed out a whopper.  Her fishiest fish yet.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cWhat?\u201d demanded Mr. Green, stomping huffily into the boardroom. \u201cWhat\u2019s important enough to interrupt my donut break?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cYeah,\u201d muttered Mr. Brown with a slosh of his coffee, \u201cthis better be good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cGood,\u201d said Mrs. Pink icily, \u201cis not quite the word we\u2019re looking for.\u201d She slapped a stack of paper onto the table. \u201cTake a look boys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cIt&#8217;s the production record,\u201d said Mr. Green. \u201cDuh.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cDuh indeed,\u201d said Mrs. Pink. \u201cShowing how many boxes of cereal were produced last month.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tMr. Brown flicked the top paper aside and stared gloomily at the second page. \u201cThis is how much we shipped out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cCorrect,\u201d stated Mrs. Pink. \u201cAnd if you subtract the number of boxes shipped, from the number of boxes produced, you should get the number of boxes we have in the warehouse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cWait,\u201d said Mr. Green punching numbers on a calculator. \u201cThat\u2019s ten thousand boxes. And at twenty boxes per crate&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cFive-hundred crates,\u201d said Mr. Brown. \u201cWe should have five-hundred crates in the warehouse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tMrs. Pink squinted and nodded her head. \u201cCome with me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tMr. Green and Mr. Brown hustled to keep up with Mrs. Pink\u2019s clicking heels as she led the way to the warehouse. She stopped in front of a metal door, turned the handle, and threw it open dramatically.<br \/>\n\t\t\u201cHave a look,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tThe room was cavernous and so empty it echoed. There was just one small stack of boxes in the corner.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tMr. Brown began to count on his fingers. \u201cTen crates,\u201d he muttered. \u201cOnly ten lousy crates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cPreposterous!\u201d exclaimed Mr. Green. \u201cNot to mention improbable! What happened to the other four-hundred and ninety crates?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cGentlemen,\u201d said Mrs. Pink. \u201cI suspect that the only person who can answer that question is Mr. Arg.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cDid he eat them?\u201d asked Mr. Brown.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cDid he secretly sell them and pocket the cash?\u201d asked Mr. Green.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\u201cAll we know,\u201d responded Mrs. Pink, \u201cis that if he did sell the cereal, some of the profit rightfully belongs to our stockholders, who chose us to keep Mr. Arg on the up and up. And if Mr. Arg can\u2019t give us a good explanation&#8230;then gentlemen, we\u2019re looking at theft. We\u2019re looking at cheating. We\u2019re looking at corporate fraud.
